Lindsay enjoys working in
many different mediums but is currently exploring the properties of
wire. This medium ignites
her creative ideas. She keeps true to
the material, utilising its translucent quality.
The way she works wire,
free hand and with few layers, allows each piece to be light, fluid and full of
life whilst not compromising its strength and durability. She also tries, where possible, to
incorporate a subtle kinetic element.
Her human forms tend to
portray emotion with a contemporary flavour, expressing the complexities of
relationships.
However, she doesn’t
always take herself so seriously.
‘Sculpture should be fun! Fun to
make and fun to look at. I hope I
achieve this whilst making people ponder the subject.’
