INTRODUCTION 2016

Welcome to Town Farm Art Show at the home & studio of Christine Bass which she opens to the public once a year. The show always aims for an exciting & varied mix of artists & makers.  2016 is no exception - the house & garden will be full of paintings, illustration, woodcarving, woodcraft, ceramics, sculpture, willow weaving, Egyptian quilts and jewellery.

The show is perfectly timed for Christmas!  This is your chance to buy that special Christmas gift, unique & hand-crafted by professional artists & makers, most of whom live & work in Bucks, Beds and Herts.

Here's the line-up for 2016:
Christine Bass paints colourful, contemporary still lifes & landscapes, often inspired by the surrounding countryside of Bucks, Beds & Herts.
Sophie Bass's captivating illustrations focus on the themes of music, folktales, womanhood & the cycle of life.
Susan Day creates delicate, botanically-influenced ceramic lamps, along with porcelain vessels & tableware.
Hazel Godfrey is a willow weaver whose sculptural, decorative & functional pieces are perfect for the garden.
Kirsteen Holuj's dramatic raku & soda-fired pots & stoneware sculpture are inspired by natural forms.
Laurie Keck produces ceramic pumpkins, pots & abstract sculptures to enhance your garden.
Mick Randall handcrafts delightful, wooden nativity sets, animal-filled arks & mini shepherds' huts.
The Tentmakers of Cairo (represented by Joan & John Fisher) handstitch their beautiful Egyptian quiltwork.
Kate Wilkinson's desirable, contemporary jewellery combines textured silver with unusual materials such as lava beads, cork & climbing rope.
Mick Waterhouse's woodcarvings range in subject from the Green Man to local wildlife to the human figure.
